"Pecorino," perhaps better known as the name of Italian sheep's cheese (Italian: pecora = sheep), also refers to a wine variety—but not entirely surprisingly. The region where the variety was originally grown is also known for its sheep farming, so we're dealing with a kind of "sheep vine."
It produces a fruity, light yellow wine with aromas of pear and citrus fruits and a delicate acidity. Elegant and fresh!
