Cabernet Syrah
From the "land of the Oc language" (Languedoc = langue d'oc) comes this cuvée made from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Syrah.
Until the 1980s, only the cultivation of simple local wine varieties was permitted in this region, so the "Vins de Pays d'Oc" was created in order to be able to market more noble wines here.
We have one of those here: It's full-bodied, brimming with dark berry aromas, and impresses with harmoniously soft tannins. In the background, you can detect pepper and vanilla flavors.
The duck in a box on the label is also a beautiful feature, highlighting the winemaker's connection to the region's traditions. Below it reads: "The fine wine of our region" – Yes, it is good, and at a low price!
