Cru Bourgeois
The red wine "A Feminine Signature" from Château de Braude in Haut-Médoc features an elegant blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. It offers aromas of black currant and plum, with a hint of roasted flavors. On the palate, it is dense, with fine acidity and a long, round finish. This dry wine has good aging potential. Contains sulfites.

This wine from the southern part of the Haut-Médoc is said to bear "a feminine signature." That, at least, is the claim of the "Aliénor du vin de Bordeaux" association, which bears the name of Eleanor, Duchess of Aquitaine, Queen of France and later of England (1122-1204), and aims to highlight and promote the work of Bordeaux's female winemakers.
Karin Bernaleu from Macau on the Gironde, who also owns the Château Mongravey estate near Margaux, is one of them.
With this cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Merlot (30%), she has created a rich and well-balanced wine with plenty of fruit and pleasantly strong tannins.
Its bouquet smells of freshly pressed grapes, blackcurrant and plum, while on the palate it is dense with delicate acidity and aromas of dark fruits and - in the background - roasted notes.
The finish is pleasantly round and long.
A great wine with aging potential!
